No trip to Kalbarri is complete without a stop at the Rainbow Jungle parrot breeding centre.

The centre is home to a variety of species, and includes walk through aviary where you can get up close to the birds as they fly around.

There are also some beautiful tropical gardens and waterfalls, which makes for a peaceful and cool place to hang out on a warm summers day. The centre is so large that you can easily wander around without bumping into too many other visitors.

The latest addition to Rainbow Jungle is the Maze where you can get lost inside a colourbond fence puzzle. Cinema Paridiso is also onsite showing outdoor movies.
On your way out you can stop by the gift shop which has (in my opinion) the best selection of trinkets on the whole Coral Coast.

Rainbow Jungle is open 7 days a week (excluding Christmas Day). Admission is very affordable at $8 for children and $14 for adults. For more information visit www.rainbowjunglekalbarri.com
Since my visit to Kalbarri the region was devastated by Cyclone Seroja and is in the process of recovering and rebuilding. During this time please ensure your accommodation arrangements are confirmed prior to visiting the townsite and contact the Kalbarri Visitor Centre for the latest updates.
